KEEP CALM & DO SENSORY PLAY

Good morning all sub-parent teachers!

I'm reading lots of messages of stressed out parent-teachers. So the message for today's staff meeting is please STEP AWAY FROM THE WORKSHEET & JUST DO SENSORY or MESSY PLAY! It can be adapted by learning outcome for any age not just for age 2-10 years & is so flexible to use for a multitude of learning objectives.

Everyone let's be real there is NO blueprint for any of this & what school has sent home is just to try to help but it is only guidance & not mandatory! Just do what you can to stay positive & save your sanity. Initially I recommend lots of sensory movement activities with calming proprioceptive & vestibular movements & just do all your kids learning through play at least until yours & their sensory systems are more self-regulated & transitioned into now home routines! I've got loads of FREE parent play and sensory awareness training, sensory movement suggestions & sensory activities planning cheat sheets on my website to help you even just plan 1 activity a day. Just keep it simple & try to have fun!

Don't panic! KEEP CALM & DO SENSORY PLAY
